Our barrier shrink bags use a 9-layer structure, therefore able to protect the EVOH layer with other useful layers that protects the EVOH gas barrier layer from moisture.

The 9-layer EVOH-structure provides the ultimate oxygen barrier even under extreme humid conditions from within or outside the package.

Shrink Bags with 9-Layer Technology

Our barrier shrink bags have a 9-layer structure providing a superior barrier against gases, water vapor and UV rays. Different compounds and raw materials have their own unique barrier qualities, and the right combination will ensure optimal protection for packaged goods.

Our shrink bags use a combination of market leading films to provide superior barrier, shrink, mechanical and visual properties. With a 9-layer structure, our shrink bags use materials not commonly found in high barrier structures (including PET for overlap sealing, printability, gloss and moisture protection), and use multiple layers of highly important materials (including PA for puncture resistance and PO for high shrink). Below includes the benefits and materials used in our 9-layer structure.

Several layers of polyamide (PA) help achieve superior mechanical properties reducing leaker rates. It also helps avoid product damage during packaging and transportation.
The EVOH barrier gives optimal protection against gases such as oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and helium. It significantly extends the shelf life of fresh meats and cheeses. In addition, our 9-layer structure offers ultimate protection against water vapour, UV rays and due to high shrink, minimises weight loss and composition of the packaged product.
Shrink materials form around the product like a second skin. Thanks for and external PET layer, the product has a very high gloss and excellent transparency ratio. In addition, PET also helps with faster and easier processing for converting machines and the packaging process.
Thanks to a special composition of high-quality polyethylene in our inside layer, our products have advanced sealing properties even under the most severe conditions, including fatty oils and fluids on the sealing surface.

In addition, the use of a PET outer-layer allows for Overlap Sealing which eliminates leakers due to wrinkles during the sealing process, as well as allowing bags to overlap each other during sealing without sticking together.

Our shrink bag material has been designed without the use of harmful PVDC (dioxins and chlorine).
Material Barrier Properties (EVOH)

EVOH is an Ethylene-Vinyl Alcohol Copolymer mainly composed of carbon, oxygen and hydrogen. An environmentally friendly substance, EVOH is used as a high barrier resin. With its sophisticated molecular crystalline structure, EVOH is an extreme barrier against oxygen and other gasses. EVOH resins have a 10.000 times greater gas barrier than standard LDPE films.

When used in a multiple-layer structure, EVOH allows for the longest shelf life of meats and cheese due to almost completely eliminating oxygen permeability.

Delivery and Despatch Information

Please note we currently do not ship to Northern Ireland, if you would like to place an order from Northern Ireland please contact us.

Standard delivery is £8 or free on orders over £100 (this is not applicable on Vacuum Packers, delivery on all Vacuum Packers are £65 - £85, also certain areas within the UK may be charged at a different rate due to location), we aim to process and dispatch all orders the same day, with them being delivered the next day if ordered before 12pm. For small orders we use UK Mail, allowing us to track the whereabouts of your items along with an estimation of when your package will be delivered, we can also provide these tracking details for you to keep up-to-date on the progress of your order. For larger orders we use a freight company who also deliver on a next day basis for orders placed before 2pm, as with smaller orders we can provide tracking information for you to keep track on your package. Prices on delivery are subject to change and may vary from that stated above dependent on location in the UK. All our prices our provided by our courier service and we ensure we aim to give you the best price on delivery available.
